Food looked nice but was salty and bland. The margarita was $12!!!! Not a fave or a fan.

Very friendly staff and hands down the best Mexican food we have tried, better than those we have tried in Vancouver.

Spur of the moment, I decided to join my neighbours for dinner at Aqui es Mexico, and I'm so happy I did. Generous portions of authentic Mexican cuisine, prepared fresh and to perfection, excellent service, friendly and upbeat atmosphere, and spotlessly clean. Next time I'll save room to try the chocolate cheesecake and maybe have a second strawberry margarita. Thank you, Selene and your wonderful family!

Excellent food and excellent service! What a great find in Madeira Park. We were staying at Painted Boat Resort but their restaurant was closed for winter so we headed to Aqui es Mexico and were not disappointed!. Service was amazing I have gluten and dairy allergies and these guys were awesome.. serving me a Mexican bowl which was perfect and so tasty!. If you're in the area check them out you won't be disappointed.

Chicken burrito was great, as was the cheesecake. Friendly atmosphere, with a very friendly local musician playing as well. Definitely worth checking out.

Great food and hospitality! Their fish tacos, quesadillas, and soup are yummy! Love their presentation as well!

Great food, happy people good price.

Very tasty, some nice margaritas, and they were quite accommodating with our dog by letting us eat outside (at our request) while the patio was closed for the season.

Real Mexican food and fair prices.

Stopped by yesterday for a quick dinner. The carnitas pork tacos we're delicious and the portions and prices very reasonable. For true and authentic Mexican food on the Sunshine Coast, you can't do better than this! The owners are friendly and the decor is minimalistic and comfy!

One of the most authentic home made Mexican restaurants in BC. Lovely owners make you feel like you are coming over for a home made dinner at their home. Their daily specials are always exciting! Make sure you ask for their home made hot sauce. We make sure we visit them every time we are in the area!

Live in Garden Bay and thought we try it out. Very pleasantly surprised how good the food was. I highly recommend it.

The Corner Cafe is now a Mexican Restaurant... The new owners are from Mexico and the cuisine is authentic... We dropped by for the soft opening on June 12 had the Salsa Fresca & Chips with a quesadilla and cold Corona... Oh so good! The owners and staff are amazing will be going back next week to try something from the new menu. If you love Mexican you won't get any more authentic than this on the Sunshine Coast... I would give them 10 Stars if I could.

Aquí Es México FABULOUS , We stopped by for lunch and was so glad that we did. Food was so fresh and delicious, and the drinks were cold and great.. I have some allergies and the owner (Selene) was so helpful in preparing something perfect for me that was fabulous and delicious for me to eat. I see another person that reviewed here was Myrtle Winchester, wow, Myrtle and I worked together in the 1970's, haven't seen her since. If she is reading this, Halo :-) . We will be back for more of their yummy Mexican food and friendship.

Stopped in with friends while visiting the area and were pleased that we did. The service was very friendly, the food delicious and we were lucky enough to be there on the owner's birthday. She shared her delicious chocolate birthday cake (that she made) with all of her guests that day. Not sure if it is on the dessert menu, but if it is, order it!

The service and the food were amazing! The portion sizes were huge. I had the fish tacos. Soooooo good! The fish was so fresh.

Enchiladas dish is great. Friendly environment and probably the only Mexican restaurant in the area. I really recommend it.

A bit of a drive from Sechelt or Gibsons but worth the trip. A good menu with great authentic Mexican food for eat in or take out. Good portion sizes and service. Very reasonable prices. The only negative is the outdoor seating is at the edge of a busy gravel parking lot. However, inside the restaurant is well ventilated and remains relatively cool even on hot days.

Hands down, the tastiest and the most authentic mexican food on the sunshine coast!! Fish tacos I ordered were fresh and delicious. Very friendly family that owns and runs the cafe. I hope you guys do really well as our little community really needs more great places to dine. I am also really looking forward to some beer on tap or some local brews in bottles🍺 Thank you for being here!!

New Owners, originally from Mexico. The food is excellent!! My wife and I had dinner last night, Quesadilla and Fish Tacos. These were best Mexican dishes we have had in a long time. The food is prepared daily and really fresh to the taste. I recommend that you try this restaurant for dinner or lunch.

The best strawberry margaritas! Also very yummy food!! You won’t regret stopping here! The flavours are all on point! 100% recommend!!!

Great tasting, excellent quality authentic Mexican food, all served with a smile at a great price. We had the fish tacos and the chicken tacos - Muey bueno! Nice atmosphere too. Strongly recommended!

Just crushed a pork burrito, and my wife had the enchiladas. Both dishes were awesome!! We had to leave a review! No photo to share because we were too busy eating it. Great customer service as well!

Food was Very Good and nicely presented. Prices are on the higher side for your typical little Mexican restaurant.Chips and salsa before the meal would have been a nice touch.A paper bill presented at the table instead of an Ipad total at the counter would be my preference.I'll go back, they are trying hard and I wish them the best success.

Happy to see a very lovely Mexican family running the restaurant. They didn’t have vegan options listed on the menu, but when I asked they were very happy to veganize things for us. They loaded up our burritos and tostadas with delicious veggies, beans, rice, hot salsa etc and it was perfect. I will definitely go back regularly, not just for the good food but for the warm hospitality. I hope they do well here, we’re lucky to have them in our little village. Aqui es Mexico!

Two of us visited on Family Day and it was very busy and the food supply was getting low! No other places were open upper coast so we had the great pleasure at being at this fantastic authentic family run cosy taqueria! The decor is so happy and transports one to Mexico!The quesadilla was very good and the margarita huge and pricey (well we were after all in Canada!)Please don't hesitate to go now and in the summer too!

Brand new restaurant, so the staff is a bit green still, but boy do they aim to please! Delicious authentic food, all made in house, with large patio seating and fun music. Authentic Mexican in this area? Believe it!

Pender Harbour now has delicious and authentic Mexican food served fresh, fast and friendly! We had fish tacos and sampled the ceviche... everything was great.

Went for dinner on holiday with kids Upbeat atmosphere with yummy fish tacos, enchiladas soup, margaritas.... will see about making it in for the Friday live Mexican music!

Very tasty food and super nice staff that can cater to vegetarian or vegan diets. My only gripe is that you can taste that the mexican style has been a little canadianized.

Great family business! Very clean, simple menu and delicious food with good prices. Perfect spot for lunch, dinner or brunch if you are travelling in the area, don't miss it. Definitely recommended.

Me and two of my co workeres all ordered the burrito. We all payed over 21 dollars each for the worst burritos we ever had in our lives, the meat had a stale taste to it and the burritos where so salty they were almost un edible and for 21 dollars it was tiny and came with no side. It came with 2 ramekins of mystery sauce wich we detetmined to be watered down salsa and sour cream. The amount of the sauce they put in the ramekins was barely enough to cover the bottom of the tiny one ounce plastic ramekins.. it was laughable. STAY AWAY!!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night on the way up to Egmont from Sechelt. The drive wasn’t bad. The carnitas taco was terrific. There is outdoor seating with a family sized table that was taken and I overheard a staff member on the phone answering an inquiry for that table while I was there so the word must be out that it’s a nice spot to have a delicious meal!
